AFL Goal Posts at Gaggin Oval in Forbes.

For the first time since 1986, AFL goal posts have returned to Forbes! In February 2022, PILA donated a set of goal posts through their partnership with AFL NSW/ACT, which were installed by the Forbes Shire Council at Gaggin Oval. This development has brought great excitement to football enthusiasts in the region.

The new goal posts will significantly enhance the promotion of both the club and the game within the community. The Forbes Junior AFL extended its gratitude to AFL Central West and the Forbes Shire Council for their support of the Swampies, as well as to PILA for their generous donation, and to the many AFL NSW/ACT team members who contributed to this project.

The Gaggin Oval goal posts were officially opened by Forbes Shire Council at the South-West local final of the Primary School Championships on Thursday, February 24.
