Sleeve bases are a simple, quick and effective solution for installing mod to local sized rugby goal posts. They make it quick and easy to remove and store goals during the off-season, with no cranes or heavy machinery needed.
Hinge bases are a safe, WHS compliant option for all rugby goal posts. The hinge plate positions the J-bolts, allowing posts to be manually raised and lowered safely, with no cranes or heavy machinery needed.
Shift-Hinge dual-code bases are a safe, WHS compliant option for our national 17m rugby goal posts, allowing stadiums and elite venues to easily switch between rugby league (5.5m crossbar) and rugby union (5.6m crossbar) using one set of goal posts. The hinge plate positions the J-bolts, allowing posts to be manually raised and lowered safely, with no cranes or heavy machinery needed.
Can I self-install rugby goals?
YES! Our products are designed to be self-installed & assembled, so you can save time and money by self-installing your new rugby goal posts. Our technical team are available to provide more information and advice.

How do I install sleeved rugby goals?
PILA’s sleeved rugby goals can be removed any time during the season and stored in the off-season. Ground sleeves are permanently set in concrete beneath the turf with the goal post spigot slotting into the sleeve and locking securely in place. At season’s end, the posts lift out and off-season caps are fitted.
How do I install hinged rugby goals?
PILA’s hinged rugby goals can be removed any time during the season and stored in the off-season. The ground bolts stay permanently embedded in concrete below the turf, and when the goals are removed, the bolts can be safely covered with sand, soil, or cover plates - keeping the playing surface safe.

We get asked this question almost daily! If you're trying to work out what size goal posts you need, particuarly if you're replacing existing goals, we often require the diameter of what you have on your field. Diameter is the distance across a circle, straight through the centre, and circumference is the distance around the outside of the circle (like the edge or the rim).
